Description This is part of my "A Greater Germany" timeline, all information about it up to this point can be found here: tiltschmaster.deviantart.com/g…

In 1933, a new chapter opened in European history when the first shots of the Great Balkan War were fired. Originaly the war started as a border conflict between the Kingdom of Yugoslavia and the Tsardom of Bulgaria, because the latter claimed Macedonia for itself. Over time, several countries joined in. Romania joined on the side of Bulgaria, while Albania joined on the side of Yugoslavia. Greece and the Ottoman Empire formed a third faction in fear of territorial losses. After three years of non-desicive battles, the Romanian and Yugoslav faction accomplished a truce, aiming their combined forces instead against Hungary, wich controlled territory's both countries held claims on. The Krakow Pact instantly reacted, invading Romania and Yugoslavia, crushing their already weakened armies and sweeping through their territory assited by communist partisan groups that had formed in all countries involved in the war by now. After only 6 months Yugoslavia, Bulgaria, Albania and omania pleaded for peace, when another political earthquake shook the Balkans as a communist revolution broke loose in the Ottoman Empire. Seeing their chance to greatly advance the cause of socialism, the countries of the Krakow Pact and the new socialist governments of the Balkan states rushed twoards Istanbul, conquering Greece in the process. Before the Allies of the Great War could even react, the whole of the Balkans and half of the Middle East had fallen to communism in one sweap. In Istanbul, the Sultan transfered power to the Socialist Great Assembly under the leadership of Nazim Hikmet. In Greece the communists under Markos Vafiadis had taken power. Yugoslavia and Bulgaria joined together with Albania under the leadership of Josip Tito, a socialist partisan born in the coratian part of Hungary. In Romania the communists under Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej took over the government.

Another event was the creation of a jewish state in the former Ottoman controlled Palestine, in wich the Zionist Labor Party under leadership of the Polish Zionist David Ben-Gurion achieved a deal with the new Turkish Government under Hikmet granted the Jews a swath of land in Palestine to create their own jewish council republic in. All countries subsequently joined the Krakow Pact and the ComIntern.

Heraldry for all involved countries will follow :>

How're the non-socialist states reacting to the much bigger socialist presence in this timeline?

Basicaly the same way they did in OTL. With propaganda and militarism. They were pretty shocked after the Great War as one might understand but have since reacted to the new balance of power by focusing on the colonial world not falling into communist hands.

Of course you will not let them succeed at that?

Nice borders, hehe, and Germany is and always was the key to dominate Europe,
no matter which ideology.

Could you give a quick rundown? ^^

The Frankfurt Parliament offered the German Crown to the King of Prussia and he declined, as in OTL, but then Karl Anton of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen offers himself to the parliament and is crowned Emperor of Germany. As he is a Catholic, he wants to be crowned with the Holy Roman Crown, but Austria refuses to give it to him. So Germany and Austria go to war, Russia sees this as a violation of the Holy Alliance and joins in on the side of Germany, France then joins Austria, Great Britain and Italy (Sardinia) join Germany. Germany wins, Greater Geerman Solution, Francis Joseph retains the Land of St. Stephen and boom, you have Teschen, Krakow and Austria with Germany

How are the Poles in Kraków treated?

Godd in this timeline, as are all non-german ethnicities. The communists had to appease all non-germans in this massive state to stay in power, that's why they even gave the Sorbs their own district. And since the first leader of this state - Rosa Luxemburg - is polish herself, the Poles wield appropriate influence.
