Description This is how Europe looks in the Operation Valkyrie succeeded timeline. Finland is part of the Soviet zone of influence because in OTL the Contiuation War could only be fought with German assitence (Material aid and troops). In this scenario however German troops retreat to Germany and stop suppling allies, therefor the Finish lose the war and are locked behind the Iron Curtain.

Poland is divided along the line where the Wehrmacht and the Red Army fought their last battles, in the east lies a state controlled by communist puppets (much like OTL's German Demoratic Republic) and in the west lies a democratic Poland supported by Germany and the western allies.

Same thing goes for Czechoslovakia. Bohemia and Moravia where defended by the Wehrmacht and therefor the Soviets couldn't get hold of it.

The dark-red states on the Balkans are socialist countries in an alliance with each other. Only difference to OTL is, that Greece in this timeline is also a socialist state. It's similar to FInland: The Wehrmacht suddenly retreats from Greece and the socialists take their chance and take over the country.

Don't you think that Finland would become a Soviet Republic after they lost the war?

Well I thought since Poland, which also was part of the Russian Empire before World War I, did notb ecome a part of the USSR after World War II, I thought neither would Finland.

Great map, even though I don't really like what happened to Finland.
About Bohemia and Moravia I think Germany after the war should return the Sudetenland. Because if not, then I think that after the war Czechs wouldn't like that and they would want to join to Warsaw pact, because they would feel oppressed by the Germans. Plus the Sudetenland was always historical territory of Czech lands.
Now some people could say, that if Germany would return the Sudetenland to Czech republic, then there would be conflict between Czechs and Germans and they couldn't coexist together. Well I think if the Czech republic was never liberated by soviets, but would be liberated by allies, then the allies would make sure that Czechs should forgive Germans what Nazi Germany did to them and I think that allies definitely wouldn't allow the Czech war crimes towards the Germans.
Damn it I hope that last sentences make sense. Sorry I'm still learning English.

Well, the point is that the Czechs weren't "liberated" at all, the Germans just defended it against the Soviets and were then forced to give up thir hold over Czechia by the Allies, but were allowed to keep anything they required by "legal" means before the war (wich includes the Sudetenland). I thought that since Germany actualy could not be forced to surrender unconditionaly, this would be logical. I can understand your point however. Still, I think it might also be a chance for both people to get along, since Germany here acts as some sort of "protection force"

And don't worry, your English is fine

This Czech state is completley independent (except for the fact that it recieves military aid from Germany to protect itself from Soviet annexation)
