Description
This image is the result of a whole lot of sketching. I've probably done about 10 attempts at drawing her decently and did some expression studies as well (which i'll probably submit as well). I was so pleased with one of these expressions, I simply had to do a combat pose with it. I was once again pleased with how that one turned out. So here you goYes, I am also pleased with how the whole thing turned out.
It was a long journey and I once again feel like I have improved, as with most drawings I made recently.

Now for the backstory/context :
After 20 continuous years of growing success, Abel Robotic Crafts was still a very well established company. Rivaling Robotic companies were faced with an immense loss of income, as ARC's popularity kept on growing. In desperate attempts to turn the tides the companies organized massive operations of sabotage and even terrorism, but all of these failed to have any significant consequences.
Until one operation succeeded, destroying the assembly chamber and killing Alexander's precious daughter Meridith Abel. But Alexander never gave up on his daughter. It was through hard work that he had become the greatest robotics craftsman in the world and it was through hard work that he would save his Meridith, even if it meant that he'd have to overcome death itself.
In a cold cellar outside the city, of which only he knew the location, he kept the body of Meridith, as he kept working on it none-stop. Until one day the eye of Meridith opened. There she saw her father falling to his knees with tears of alleviation. He had brought his daughter back to life. However, the immense labor he had gone through for more days than he could count, took it's toll and Alexander's exhausted body collapsed to the floor. Unable to move her limbs, Meridith saw her father breathe his last breath.
One year later:
The accident in the ARC facility and the disappearance of it's founder, as well as his daughter's "death", left the company without anowner, meaning the certificate of ownership was sold in a public auction. (where every piece of profit, would of course go to the "state"). However, the company, even though it had a new owner (who made a spokesperson take part in the auction for him, so he could rest anonymous), never continued it's production and it's headquarter were abandoned and left to decay.
Meridith was at this point working as a scavenger. The half-robotic body, which made her look like a freak as well as the loss of her father and her past life had made her bitter and lust for revenge. She had become skillful at using her robotic arm in combat as well as utilizing weaponry with her right hand, which took some practice, since she used to be left-handed. In her work as a scavenger she usually picks the more risky territories to explore, almost ensuring she'd end up in combat, so she can let loose her vengeful spirit.
By working as a scavenger she'll get in contact with robotics merchants, who sell their wares to the large companies. In turn she tries to retrieve information on who owns the certificate of ARC and the name of the miscreant that destroyed her life.

TL;DR: The gibberish between the lines is the story and context behind this, the rest is just me saying how it was working on it.
Excuse my lack of English writing skills, It's not something I do often and I read too little to actually be skilled at it. I hope the story comes through though.
I hope you like it!

Yeah I eventually just chose to use the storyline of Meridith for my Master assignment. She'd make a unique main character for a video game. I also liked the idea of creating an RPG without the whole "leveling". Instead you would be able to use loot as a way to adjust, enhance or redesign your robotic arm in multiple ways, dependent on the materials you can find. Since she's also a robotics expert she can create or repair robots to help her as a companion on her quest.
I also don't really want it to be straightforward, but aim at it being explorative instead.
I'm still thinking it all through though, but it's getting there.

Yeah, really inspiring!
I hope you don't see "video game" as a derogatory reference to your work.
I think think the art form has really come into it's own in modern times.
Easily rivaling some the movies and novels of our time.
Probably beating them in popularity.
The thing is, in a game construct, you get to be Harry Potter, you get to be Froto!
You don't passively watch a hero save the day, you are the hero! You save the day.
The clichΓ© with most I've seen though is that they can be a rather mindless bloodbath of shooting.
I've been watching images from your world for a long time now,
and I've found the consistent theme seems to be the unexpected.
I hope I haven't told you this before, but I think your world would be a refreshing change for all the gamers who've spent countless hours killing orcs or zombies or whatever.
