Description Well lemme tell ya as someone who is experienced in drawing children and other such cute things... the power pack are actually more challenging to draw than I originally anticipated. I think I spent an hour ajusting his face. Body is no problem. It's getting them to look like who they are. Eh... anyhow. Here's Alex Power aka Zero G. He's the leader of the Power Pack because he's the oldest of the four siblings that composed the original power pack. I seriously think I could do him more justice, but oh well. Maybe after the holidays, I'll give the power pack another shot.

I think it turned out very well. You could tell you put a lot of effort into it.

After looking at the drawings I went to Wikipedia and read up on the Power Pack. Sorry I missed them the first time around; the idea (super kids, clueless parents) sounds like it's been done before but could've been interesting, especially in the right hands. Also unique in that you had a superhero book created by women (Louise Simonson and June Brigman), something you don't see that often.

While they wound up one of the biggest jokes of the comic industry (Big-time comic readers and fans would just laugh at the idea), there were those of us who actually read the thing. I didn't know about it until recently, though. I always believe in giving things a try before you diss it (With some exceptions like, laying your head in front of a truck's wheels for it to run over you). It wound up being done pretty well (Coulda been done better, but not easily). The comic is incredibley different. But it's also hard to come by. Say... you ever attend comic conventions?

I've only attended the Motor City ComicCon a couple times. My impression was that it was "The Trade Show From Another Planet." I was depressed by the number of vendors selling bootleg tapes (the photocopies cover art is a dead giveaway) and the card players huddled over their Magic decks like grown-ups at the blackjack tables in Nevada or Atlantic City or somewhere. I guess I wasn't in the spirit of the thing, but I also don't have the kind of money to throw around at those places -- though once I broke down and bought some Sonic animation art: animation drawings of Sally and Bunnie which I had matted and framed.

In any event, I'm just not a con person. There are certain titles I have an interest in, but I'm not a collector except for Sonic. It was the Power Pack concept that interested me; I could see Chris Columbus directing a Power Pack film.
