Description
Medli is my favourite character in the Wind Waker (aside from Tetra), she’s cute, caring, and you can even play as her for a bit! Unfortunately she suffers from a design choice of all Rito that I never understood.
… Why do they have a beak AND a mouth?
Okay, I know why, because without the beak they just look like normal people, but without a mouth they would be unable to show the exaggerated expressions that is so iconic of the Wind Waker style, I get that, but I still think it looks a little strange.

Now don’t get me wrong, WW Rito are great and quickly became my favourite race in Wind Waker, but BotW Rito are just so much COOLER and are my favourite race aside from the Hylians themselves in any Zelda game ever!
I love Wind Waker, and I love Wind Waker for introducing the Rito. I love Breath of the Wild even more for fixing the Rito.
So I decided to draw Medli in the style of the Breath of the Wild Rito, and I quite like the finished product, don’t you?
