Description (Here is a very short slice-of-life story I wrote about the two Sheikah sisters to go with the art. Enjoy!)

Impa sat back on her heels and tossed a vibrant carrot into one of several overflowing baskets.
“Whew, I think that’s the last of this season’s Swift Carrot crop”, she said as she pushed her large hat into its usual position on her back.
The old man she had been helping wiped a bead of sweat from his forehead with the back of a gloved hand.
“Aye, I would reckon so, and a fine large one too. Thanks for yer assistance Lady Impa, ‘specially seeing as how busy yer are these days”.
“Oh, think nothing of it! In fact, I find it quite refreshing. It reminds me of a time I didn’t have to… Well, anyway, it’s a pleasure! Although, with that said—”, She rose to her feet, brushing off the damp dirt that still clung to her knees.
“—I do have an appointment with the Princess in an hour, so I regret that I can’t offer to help you carry these to the shop.”
The corners of the man’s eyes crinkled in a smile, “Oh, dontcha worry about me. I may be gettin’ on in years, but these dusty old bones ain’t failin’ me quite yet. I’ll manage just fine, you go on.”
“…Ok. I’ll see you later then, good day,” Impa returned his wave. She gently ushered a stray cuccoo out of the small pasture as she left, being extremely careful not to startle it. You only ever startle a cucco once in your life. She thought to herself with a slight shudder as she closed to gate behind her.

The young chieftain was just arriving at the village exit when an all-too-familiar voice stopped her.
“Heeeey! Impy, there you are. Been lookin’ all over for you, I need your help with something!”
Impa winced at the sound of the pet name. Part of her was tempted to keep walking, but she turned around to the expected sight of her sister bounding towards her, who was older in years only.
“Purah, I’ve asked you not to call me that any more,” she sighed.
One of the eccentric researcher’s hands flew to her mouth. The other remained firmly behind her back, which made Impa a little nervous. The last time Purah was this obviously secretive, Impa had required rescuing from the several metre high tree she had found herself at the top of the next moment.
“Ooops, sorrrryy. I mean - supermaturegrownupbossofthevillageandroyaladvisor - ImPAAH.”
Impa met her sister’s gaze with as flat a stare as she could manage.

“... What is it you needed help with Purah?” Though I’ll probably regret asking.

“Oh, yes! I need you to help me test out my latest invention,” with this ominous introduction Purah whipped out a segmented staff, which clicked multiple times as each section extended, bringing the total length to her full arm span. All along it at regular intervals were small knobs. Finally, on the end was a clamp-like device which was in desperate need of tightening, as it spun wildly when she began twirling the staff smugly. “It’s an accessory for the Sheikah Slate that I’m calling — drum roll please — the Selfie Stick! Catchy, ehh?”
Impa watched the rapidly swivelling head of the contraption warily, ready to dive to the ground in the event that it should come loose and hurtle towards her.
“Sel-fie?” She repeated cautiously.
“Mmmhmm! A picture of oneself!” Purah used her free hand to frame her own face theatrically. “BUT getting such a pic an be a teeensie bit annoying with only the length of your own arm to get everything you want in the shot. So! I’ve created this nifty little gadget to make it waaay easier, but I need to test it!” As she finished her explanation she planted the end of the stick in the ground. The loose clamp continued to spin.

“That doesn’t really sound like something you’d need assistance with.” Impa ventured as she inched back towards the exit.
“I’m brooking no arguments, come on!” Purah ordered, taking her younger sister by the shoulder and pushing her back the way she came. She bobbed the stick up and down in time with their footsteps, as though she was leading a marching band. The head rattled precariously as she did so.
Impa knew from experience that arguing with Purah when she was in this kind of mood was usually futile, but years of habit meant that she couldn’t help trying.
“Huh? Purah, I really don’t have time, the Princess is expecting me to—” she began, but was promptly cut off.
“It’ll only take two snaps! Now, you stand heeere.” Purah halted in front of their house, though she practically lived at the lab nowadays. She then proceeded to finally tighten the knob that connected the head to the rest of the staff, adjust the segments so it was only one arm’s length, twisted a few more small knobs, then fit the Sheikah Slate into the clamp at the end.
Satisfied with her preparations, she turned back to her sister expectantly.
“Purah, I really can’t—”
“Nop-pop-pop!” She interrupted, and looped the arm holding the device around Impa’s neck. “Ready?” It wasn’t a question.
“PUR—” Impa began.
“Click snap!” Purah sang as she made her trade mark hand sign with her free hand and pressed a button on the stick with the other.
Impa’s head whipped back to the Slate just in time to see the small flash of a photo being taken.
“—ah?” She ended lamely

Purah inspected the picture critically, before nodding seriously.
“Thaaaanks! Off you go about your important business now little sis!” She singsonged and then skipped off.

Impa blinked several times as her brain attempted to play catch up with the whirlwind that was her sister she had just been hit with. She shook her head fondly as she watched the skipping form recede from view.
“Oh Purah, never change,” she chuckled.

What Impa didn’t know, and perhaps would have been interested to learn, is that the picture which she assumed her sister had deleted after she had gotten her satisfactory results was in fact framed, and sitting in the place of honour on Purah’s desk.

The End
