Somewhere in Abberfang Forest, on the outskirts of King Norbert's grand golden palace, lies a lonely rune with this inscripture.

It is the commemoration of many figures from a past conflict.

Of the six would-be brides of a demon lord, released from hellish suffering they never deserved.
Of the seventh bride who survived her torment to got away with her life--her sanity--her future.
Of King Norbert, who had seen the start of a war known as the Supernatural Rebellions--and led his people out of the dark.
Of the survivors of the Rebellion, who lived to see the Scarlet Moon set--to see the sun rise in its place.

But above all else, of the force of incandescent joy, laughter and innocence that had lit up a world on the brink of darkness. The one who shone like the sun.

HIS Seventh Son.

Those who've survived the Rebellions call it--him by various names, inspired by the seemingly magical wave of joy--even euphoria that washed over them as he passed by.

Such as Hygge. (Jotunn, Trolls, Firbolg, etc)
OrKomorebi(Halflings, Yokai)
Or Ananda (Naga, Garuda, Rakshasa, etc)
Or Dopamine-Inducing Entity/D.I.E. (Dwarves, Liliel, etc)
Or by others, Huggie.

Or his first name...Tickles.

People aren't quite sure of where he or his family disappeared off to. But they WILL be back some day. Perhaps when they're needed again.

And sitting at his rune is the remains of the perpetrator.

The tiny, petrified skeleton of a great demon lord that SHOULD have rendered Ziz's creations to dust--but didn't.
People of today do not know this--but he truly was among the most horrific evils to befall all of Cauldron. His evil cannot be understated, as he stood before a trembling world bathed in the blood of his brides' defiled, sundered wombs. Of the many monsters he had unleashed from them, to sow crimson in his path.

He is the King clad in Scarlet.

Nay--he WAS...what was he?
Shormaush Urdal, the Scarlet King who burst out of Sanna's womb?
Khnith-hgor, King of the Darkness Below, from under Yggdrasil's shadow?
Khahrahk, The Root Creeper? A lowly, crawling thing just as King Norbert once was?

...The Crimson Fuckr(sic)? (As Liliel, Toma and Kassandra all agreed on after reading his history)

He's dead.

It is said that his end came through his weakest child of all: the Seventh Son he hated most. And not with weapons, magic, or divine judgement. But through light. Love. Laughter. Compassion. Everything that his darkened body, mind and soul couldn't survive.

It was like...being tickled so hard that it induces vomiting in someone who's eaten huge meal.
Or experiencing so much prolonged excitement that a frozen heart cracks itself apart warming up.
Or seeing a warm embrace awaiting you--and shedding every plate of armor so you can actually feel it for once.
Laughing so much that you forgot what you were so mad about.
So the King's crown slipped from his fingers forever.

The Scarlet King died, shriveled back into his true, pathetic, nudibranch-like form. Being held by the only being in this world who would ever mourn for him.

Now, those on Cauldron only know him as this: Dead. Gone. Never to return. The less recalled about him the better.

After all...modern-day Cauldron has its own problems. Doesn't it?
