Description This shows how I created [link] from the original fractal. I blame the content entirely on the song I'm listening to (O-Zone's Dragostea Din Tei: [link] ) and lack of sleep.

The actual creative process behind the original work was nowhere near this cut-and-dry. I reverse engineered my choices based on the final Photoshop file for the sake of this tutorial. During the actual working process, I did a lot of "*click* hmm *click* ooh cool *click* eww *click* hmm." Basically, the more you screw around in Photoshop, even with basic things like layer types and opacities, the more you see what neat tricks it can do.

I actually did step 11 (the teal color brush) right after step 4. This showed me that I had the basis of the colors I wanted going, but the process for step 4 killed most of the color. Hence why I went back to the original fractal and made pink and blue copies to bring the color back out, while not losing what I liked from the step 4 choices.

Weapons of choice: Apophysis 2.02, Photoshop 5.5, workfiles for [link] , [link] gradient, lyrics from O-Zone's Dragostea Din Tei

Thank you, very useful - as I just discovered, downloaded and hopelessly fumbled around with apophysis *faves*

Oh, and DAMN you for reminding me of the existence of that song Ò_Ó I actually can _understand_ what they're singing... and that makes me twitch uncontrollably ... *twitches uncontrollably*. See?

Yes, that song is evilly catchy, and I wish I understood more languages (well ok beyond the "survival spanish" I have somewhere in my brain lol).

Muchas gracias for teh fave, and good luck with playing around with teh fractals and post-editing! Apophysis often renders a fractal that is awesome all on its own, but sometimes it's fun to mess with it anyways. Oooh, I have another really quick-and-dirty Apophysis over this way should it prove helpful: [link]

Believe me, you don't want to understand that song *lol*. Creepy, and a violation of one of my mother languages
Wahhh, Apophysis ist messing with ME all time, not vice-versa
But thank you for the link!

Most welcome, and lol... I think I saw a translation, I don't remember what is was now tho. *would go look it up but is busy being lazy and debating on IM whether or not a certain character kills another certain character in the movie Pitch Black*

lol I do this kinda thing with it all the time (to the point that it gets rediculous)... but I guess the practice has paid off for things like this
