Description If you don't use your head, then you won't get very far in life. I mean, using your head is kind of necessary for living in the first place."

This is a head design that I came up with for a character design that I'm working on right now, as of the time at which I am typing this. Trying to design it has really been kicking my sides, but I'll persevere.

This is the first drawing that I've made using a piece of paper from a sizable drawing pad. The paper size is about 1 foot and 4.9 inches by 1 foot and 2 inches.

This wasn't the hardest thing to draw, but there were parts of it that gave me trouble. I wasn't completely sure on how the goggles should be designed, and distancing the "eyes" of the goggles properly certainly wasn't effortless. That being said, I finished it, and I'm happy with the way that it came out.

However, I might have to change the goggle color since the metallic brown blends in with the skintone a little too much.

Constructive criticism is greatly appreciated!

Also, when you color with color pencils. Make all the lines go in one direction. I noticed that to the left of the blue bandanna the lines go up down. To the rest of it they go side to side.
Its tough at first, but try coloring often to get the hang of it.

Yeah, that's something that I need to get better at. I was coloring this on a pretty large piece of paper, so I got motivated to change the direction of my strokes more often. Nonetheless, I still change said directions sometimes on regular-size drawings as well, so I'll still keep this in mind! Thank you!

Aaayyyyyyeeeee

I suggest working on making the line art smoother, i use pens that let out a good amount of ink,  try making thicker lines.

And when taking a picture use multiple lamps. Or even better , the most sunlight possible

Work on keeping a steady hand, its very helpful! ^^

Hope i helped

Thank you! I'll have to do some research into getting better pens, and the sunlight and lamps tip should be helpful!
