AKA "WidowMaker" in the West German Luftwaffe. sleek, fast, and very dangerous if a pilot did,nt stay several steps ahead of it at all times! those are,nt wings, they,re razor-blades! have fun trying to dead-stick one of these down to a safe landing! has a glide ratio like a bunch of keys,or a grand piano, for that matter!

I have this model done up as the NASA bird that is in the Smithsonian. The model was completed about 1979. It may not be Hasegawa's but is same scale. I have been near active F-104s and yes their wings are like razor blades.

do you still have it? that NASA scheme was one pretty bird! active 104s? whose? damn,i thought the USAF dumped the Cs a long time before us! Puerto Rico ANG last US outfit to use them, dumped sometime in the 70s,weren,t they? all the ones i ever saw were other NATO and JASDF,but never in US colors!

While I was at Tyndall 1977-1981 some flew in for an airshow. They may have been Guard or Reserve. Yes I do still have the model.

must have been Puerto Rico ANG,and just prior tto phase-out. i still feel the USAF never did give the Starfighter a fair chance to prove itself! did you ever look at the design for the Lockheed Lancer? i think that critter might have given the F-16 a serious run for its money!

must have been the Revell kit. HouseOfChiahuaha came out with this one around 1975-76[USAF C and G/J] and it is so damnably accurate that you could cut yourself on the wing edges if not careful, just like a real one![covers needed to protect personnell from injury!]is nothing about this plane safe? flew in a TF-104G back in 86 as a guest of the German MarineFlieger, with a guten-kameraden"Poultergeist",damn,i thought he was supposed to be a pilot, not an ASTRONAUT!!!!!! and yet his "wheels" was a 2hp Sachs MoPed........which is more dangerous? still love this plane!

mine is done in a purely ficticious scheme[but feasible]just part of a fanfic i,m working on. lots more to come in time! ya gotta admit,The Queen looks real sharp in her flight gear! "radar, radar, searching far, show me where the Bad Guys are!"

Sweet little model! Have a little Starfighter model myself (could make a shot of it I guess) though never actually got to see one fly. There's one as a gate guard here nearby but the Dutch Air Force got rid of the last flying ones long ago.
Little rocket-with-wings, really

actually, nuke, its not so little! Hasegawa 1/32scale,almost 2/3 of a meter long! i think i will snap another pic or two to show that horrifying shark-mouth marking, weapons, and Her Majesty in the drivers seat. camo colors are dark green/black green "splinter" pattern very similar to WW2 german luftwaffe and this scheme would work very well in a heavily forested alpine area of Europe.[easy to hide under the trees] lots more to come of other types in the Barovienesche Luftwaffe as soon as i can image and submit them, like a TomCat in a blotchy blue/grey camo[mit haifischmaw!]very luftwaffe nachtjaeger-ish!and many others! keep The Faith, and watch Your Six!
