Description
I am not really a gimp user, so I hope this is helpfull. I know the final textuer is not as good as I normaly do. But normaly I use Blender and photoshop to make textuer maps. The best adivce I can realy give is to just play around and learn what all your graphiccs editor can do. Oh, and if you know what you want to make, try and have a lot of references on had.

I have a little problem... I want to use on an accessory model a striped texture, but I can't use the texture, I just can use these color-frames on the left in PMD Editor... Can anybody help me please?

Well, the texture's name is just "1.png" and the problem is, on the PMD Editor, there are on the "MA-Tab" these color-windows, right? The model works with these, not with a texture...

Ah, and I downloaded the model files to look at them. I think the problem is there is no uvmapping done. You mind if I try and map it for you?

Yes, I would really appreciate it! (I haven't any idea what uvmapping means...) Thank you!

it is basically taking the wire frame work and laying it out flat to lay over an image. And will get right on it! Once done I will send you the updated juice box and uvmap image so you can see what parts reference what part of the image.

Ok, I uv Mapped it sta.sh/0hmjqud65tm
There is a pmd file, the original texture, and a pink that shows you how I layed out the uvmap. You can use it as a guide for making new textures.

Hi there. :3
I just recently found a plugin for PMD that can help convert object's UV map(The outter line thing that shape into the object) into PNG.
The plugin is calledΒ UVε±ιε³_θ².
You can get it from here on bowlroll.
Hope it helps. :3

I wasn't mocking your work, I was just saying that it is a rather long and probably frustrating method.
Bacause a friend tried it...

Didn't say you where. And I am serious, if you come across something better, please share. I am aware how tedious this method is. It is even more frustrating when you find a part that didn't/dosen't have any uv unwrapping/mapping done cause then all the vertices reference space off the image, except for maybe one.
I may put up a totorial in the future on how to do the uv unwrapping and mapping and exporting to image file. But.. I got to work up to it. Cause the only way I realy know how to do all that is in Blender. And there are a lot of people out there who are skittish of blender.
Or maybe I might take up uvmap requests, heh.

Hmm, maybe I will attempt a tutorial for Blender. Just got to remember where all the different import and export scripts are found.

I do mine a little different, I basically take Different colored numbers and line them up, each row a different color. Then I go from there.
