Heyo, haven't posted one of these in a long while so I thought that you guys might like one. A lot of it was to show you guys how my drawing style has changed in the past few months. I don't use lines anymore (Except if I'm trying to draw really anime stuff) and I find one-layer drawings to be a lot easier.

1. Create the basic outline of the character with a simple round brush to establish a design and get a feel for where the shadows will be. I only put in shadows, the main color should be the same as the background color you're using. I put the hair on a different layer so it doesn't get in the way.

2. Start blending the skin. I also resized the image and fixed up the anatomy a bit.

3. Eyes

4. I turned the hair black and then used the marker tool to carve out the hair strands with the same color as the background. Then I went on to add in some lighter fly away hairs.

5. Luminosity layer with random shapes.

6. Added the grid for texturing effect.

Feel free to ask any questions, the pattern is just a grid of black lines. pretty easy to make (or get online if you will).
