Description
Couldnt get this done before the release of EvokeOne VI: Neutral , so my evk buds are probably hating me, but they got This Version anyways. This is, in my opinion, the best model I've made/textured yet, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did making it..I have alot of different versions of this, some of which will be hightlighted in the new version of Diphix , that's due out very soon, within a day
here's some pics to portray what went into this...
Old render
Wireframes
The ground is all displaced, which as you guys may or may not know, takes forever to render, when rendering at 4000x3000 it's kinda insane, this is of course on top of GI, caustics and all that jazz..all in all, this was I believe a 4 day render, I was away so I dont really now.
as always, 3d StudioMAX 8 & Vray.
Please visit Diphix , it's done!
EDIT: Resized, removed the logo, the scale messed it up, so I opted for a more simple one.

This looks amazing. Awesome job on the modelling/texturing. Looks like the texturing would have been especially difficult!

awesome! this is really cool but the viewport isn't terrible. the camera is too high and we cannot see the render correctly.
take my suggestion or leave it

This is amazing. I would love to see this as a physical sculpture - exactly as you've made it here. Laser plotters could carve one from the model, I'd say. I bet you could get a grant to have it done if you showed this to the right official in charge of a public space. Maybe in front of a technology building at a university or something of the like. I really dig the composition of this - wonderful design.

Thanks man, I'm always trying to evolve, making photoreal stuff is pretty challenging, so I think I'll sit on this concept for awhile...

INSANE!!! But the onlything I would do. The focus edge is a little too sharp for me. But thatΒ΄s just my opinion

Real classy stuff. really imaginative and might i say, revolutionary.
Unique to the max, never seen stuff like this.

That's my boy ahaha. This one looks cleaner than the one I saw a while ago. Better focus on the object itself I'd say. Great work man, and I suppose congrats on the DD?
Anyway, keep on creating man.

From a distance it looked like someone dancing in an extravagant kimino (on a roughly textured surface) :3
Looks absolutely stunning up close.

Final gather is a Mental Ray thing, Vray has to do 4 GI passes before you even see anything, and I believe that takes longer than the final gather!
