Description This fully-automatic weapon was widely issued to the Soviets in 1943 after the success of it's prototype (PPS-42) a year earlier during the Siege of Leningrad. The weapon was designed by Alexei Sudayev as an easy-to-manufacture personal defense weapon for reconaissance troops, vehicle crewmen and support service personnel. The PPS-43 fires the 7.62x25mm Tokarev pistol round, at a rate of 600rpm with an effective range of up to 100 metres.

I have a couple of these! Fun to shoot, although I'm still waiting to be able to convert one back. Paperwork takes for freakin' EVER!

Yes, but there was a PPS-42. It was the first model officially accepted into service (there were initial combat-tested prototypes), and this later became the improved PPS-43.

We've got these available in the US as pistol with fixed stocks and of course semi-auto only. I believe they are coming from Poland.

I never understood the point of banning the folding stock on working firearms- it's a gun, a moving stock isn't what makes it dangerous...

Thanks, I actually bought this to sell on again- I haven't seen one before in person, so I thought I'd get it and have a look/ take pictures before selling it. It's already gone now! I might get one for myself at some point soon though, I just want to look at other pieces first. 'Try before you buy' in a sense.
