Last night I picked up my pencil and said: I have to draw something!I just had a little trouble picking what, but since my last attempt at a realistic portrait based on a real living person dates from 2008 back when I was still into metal I decided to have another go. After all I can't stop at an ugly monkey face distortion
I picked Andy LaPlegua the singer of CombiChrist. You might also know how from Panzer AG, Icon of Coil or even (Dj) Scandy. If you're soft hearted and curious look up icon of coil or panzer. If you're still curious and like being sweared at or have an open mind go with CombiChrist, if you just feel like dancing Scandy =3.
My personal favorite is the ever dirty 'give head if you got it' of CombiChrist.
I personally enjoyed putting this down on paper and I tried to go darker than I usually go. The ref really lend itself well for that.

sketch pad.... Canson... xl.. OH I think this might help Microperforated... whatever that means.
It was cheap... had allot of pages and doesn't do weird things with my pencils like printing paper... =3

Canson is good for now. I wanted to suggest advanced blending techniques, but those work on different paper, so never mind.

Look for bristol paper. That's the good stuff, you can do smooth shading on that.

even smoother shading! =O cool And to say some people already though I had a rather smooth gradient on this one

The jaw is not symmetrical..notice his left is higher than his right..the eyes are good; cold and haunting..

I like the eyes..! you should try to make the darkest part of the papir darker..

Hehe... you can also try to draw on top of it, with a harder pincil

that's a 7B the hardest one I have

Hahaha... 7B is a very soft pincil use a 2H or 4H on top and your drawing will be darker
