Mustelids have the cutest faces, to me - I guess I have a thing for pointy noses! Thank you

Awwww, cute little stylized skunks that actually look like skunks! 8D Seeing them drawn like this always makes me happy. (I don't get how most people draw them looking like cats or like squirrels - what's with that?)
Oh, and the weasely critters are cute as well.~

I think a lot of people mistakenly believe that they have pointy ears, and that goes a long way towards making them look like cats or squirrels. I quite like it when people take artistic liberty with their tails, though, because they do seem to flare their tails in different ways - my Vincent's tail sticks straight up like a toilet brush, whereas Charlie's tail curls over at the top.
And thank you for your sweet comment!

Yeah, I've noticed that too. Really, to me they look more like fluffy bear-weasels with little heads and poofy tails, rather than cats or squirrels.
Aw, that's kinda cute actually. x3Β
You're welcome!~

I wish I'd included a marbled polecat, now! cdn2.arkive.org/media/FC/FCE3F⦠But I didn't have a good reference for one in hospital and I didn't feel confident drawing one off the top of my head.

Oh oh! It's a spotted skunk! Take a peek: blogs.ublabs.org/crittercorner⦠I stylised the markings quite a bit, but they're cutie patooties, no?

They're the cutest and fattest. Mine are especially chubby right now but they're approaching the end of hibernation so they should start to slim down a wee bit...

Mine totally played me today though... refused to eat their dinner until they got mealworms, too. Or sometimes they won't eat until I add yoghurt or a little olive oil or something. D'oh!!
But they're so cuddly...

*Giggles* Well skunks are intelligent. So expect them to act a bit like cats.

Too smart for their own good! I remember when Charlie always used to open my mum's drawer/sock box so she could steal stockings... Skunks freaking love underwear, I'm not even joking - every skunk owner I know has a story about them stealing socks or bras!

Skunks belong to another family, they are not mustelids. It used to be seen as mustelids

Of course I know that, I do have them as pets after all. But they're the closest thing I have to meeting a wolverine.
