It makes PERFECT sense!!You know what's really hard? Herding skunks. Skunks are REALLY difficult to herd. As in, they know where you want them to go, so they go the other way.

I once saw a female skunk in the early evening. I know it was a female, as she had an entourage of babies all bunched together to look like a giant skunk. She was not afraid of us, even tho she knew we were there.
I am pleased to say that she did not spray at us. She would do so to (1) defend herself,(2) defend her babies and (3) teach them how to do it themselves !
Owls are the main enemy of baby skunks, as they have no sense of smell. Adult skunks are too big for them to deal with.

there so cute and i have my own pet skunks i have got used to the smell and now they obey me ... AND NO i did not steal them they were getting attacked and they had broken legs and all that so i had to hel0p them and...... I LOVES THE PITCHER

I like how you have a bit of variety with the skunks. There's ones with 2 stripes on their tails, ones with white tips on their tails, ones with thick stripes one their sides, one with medium side-stripe, ones with thin side-stripes, a few baby ones, and even an albino one!
Also I like how all their tails are raised, looks like any who gets close is gona gets sprayed by all 20 of them...*runs toward the herd of skunks* ^_^

They're confident little animals! Well... my Vincent is a bit nervous, but he's improving. Charlie is incredibly confident and bossy (and she's tiny!). But yeah... she always knows when it's bedtime or when I'm trying to catch her and she will make sure it's very difficult to do so.

form what i read they are crepuscular... they slumber most of the day and the night and come out to hunt on the dawn or dusk but they can be trained to become diurnal
so how big are they?

They are crepuscular, and it's pretty convenient because I work during the day (if I'm about during the day I will get them up for snuggles but I think they'd rather just sleep). They play in the evenings - well, Vincent is not particularly playful but Charlie really, really is, she likes to sneak up on me and pounce on me and play with toys, etc.
Vincent is about the size of a small cat (except lower to the ground because he has short legs). Charlie is between half and two thirds of his size. She's a big skunk in a very small package!

They are indeed neutered and spayed, yes. They still have their scent glands though. It's illegal to remove them in England!
