Great art and story.
I wonder if wearing VR glasses with a right and left webcam mounted on the front to give stereo vision would protect you? Viewing the Gorgon on a LCD VR screen displaying digital camera feeds might block the Gorgon effect. Backpacks with solar charging panels and rechargeable batteries could power the VR devices.
But who would be brave enough to test it, if it doesn't work, stone time.

This reminds me of a story of a "real smart" gorgon hunter, ye see, he had acquired a pair of magical rose coloured goggles, that makes its wearer immune to the gorgons stare, but it has the downside of making everything seem pretty and harmless.
He never even made it to the gorgons lair, but no one really new what happened to him. Some say he stabbed himself on his sword thinking it was a lollypop, others that he was mangled by a bear he was trying to hug or that he ate some nightlock berries thinking they were icecream.

Ack! Β I didn't even notice Stheno in the seventh panel there. Β ...are the clothes turning to stone on some statues but not others, or has time just eroded stuff away?
Sidenote: I've loved references to Stheno ever since I played City of Villains. Β Man, I can't wait for City of Titans to come out...

Well, she turned away from the stairs before taking it off. Their real problem was, they didn't anticipate the gorgon could be silent enough for them not to *hear* her coming.
