I'm hoping she CONSCIOUSLY perched herself up there, and simply fell asleep because maintaining the balance came so naturally.
Tony Stark may've fallen asleep inside his armor before, but at least with Samus they can't HEAR her snoring.

I'm just loving these comics. I've always wished the games would touch on Samus' life as a bird backstory a bit more.

What I'd like to know is how the wire could handle the stress of her jumping onto it without snapping--that suit does weigh quite a bit after all.

I've been meaning to ask: what does "sml" stand for?

Oh, it stands for 'small' - I work at pretty high resolutions that would be overkill if uploaded, so I tend to just upload the smallest, but still very readable size.

Although I don't personally think Samus acts at all birdlike, I do find the idea hilarious.

She would _have_ to "eat like a bird" to be able to fit into power armor that skinny at the waist. The original man-sized power armor would give so much more room.

What do you mean by "original man-sized power armor" there is no such armor. The power armor was specifically modified to only be used by Samus. However, she does probably have to watch what she eats.

Look at the wasp-waist on Samus On A Wire, then go back and look at the original Metroid graphics where Samus is pretty much wearing a haz-mat suit. The suit Tran drew treats the lower torso like a crunch point. She could damage something if she tried to touch her toes.

You realize the reason the suit was like that was because of graphical limitations at the time right? Plus, it had to look big. The creators didn't initially want players to realize from the beginning that Samus was a girl.

So it was bigger, therefore bigger around the waist. Power Armor was Power Armor, not semi-abstract sculpture in the Evangelion style.

It's also probably been upgraded over the years.

So that's why it's called the Power Suit.
