Happy 30th Anniversary, Metroid!
I’m releasing a comic to celebrate the occassion. My first Gumroad book, called Metroid: Another End !
Samus’s hunt comes to a close, as she confronts Mother Brain in the depths of Zebes. The baby Metroid she came to save has saved her, but at the cost of a fatal blow to the poor creature. With only minutes to spare to escape, Samus has to choose just how much she has to lose.
Ian Samson’s fan-comic based on Super Metroid, as well as a collection of sketches and drawings based off Nintendo’s Metroid franchise, on its 30th Anniversary!

*bought and read today* Congrats on the comic
Thought Motherbrain came across as a really talky, but it is often in the thematic of those scenes. I can't help but wonder if the scenes might've been more powerful without her feedback after her 'death'. Her look of awareness, of terror and need at the timer, of hateful vengeance at the last moment.
I'm a sucker for Samus and lil metroid though to the end

Thanks for the support! It's true, the Mother Brain is a talky talky thing in this - I do think a wordless dramatic scene would have played out efficiently as well - like, that's the way the super awesome original ending played out too! But I just wanted to get some Mother Brain time while I could. Ideally, if it were a larger story, Mother Brain's motivations and the value of her potential capture would have been established earlier, but I thought giving Samus the choice of sticking with the Metroid or helping Mother Brain at that point was a good show that she was fighting for. not for the Federation or even for scientific progress, but for a single living being that meant something to her.

Wonderful work. I'm more of a Sonic than Metroid fan, but I can see the love for the series.
Extra pictures are nice, even though I think I seen most of them... but not "Samus married Ridley" sketch. Did you published it before?

Downloaded and started, and it looks great! They did amazing work, and the quick story scenes were nicely written! I didn't continue too far, because I need to get a controller for it, but I definitely look forward to it!

'Another Metroid 2 Remake' even hit V1.0 today and finally has a full game release. Meanwhile, Nintendo only has a demo and game without Samus (though I still intend to get it someday).
