poor tailgate. nobody understands him. nobody but his radio. so what are we supposed to infer here about him? does his neural processor have, er, bad sectors? the doing things over and over could be interpreted as OCD...

I had Moonracer as Ironhide's and Chromia's daughter because of her interactions with Chromia in The Search for Alpha Trion, you have her as Tailgate's sister. Interesting choice. What prompted that conclusion?

I actually worked backwards to get my conclusion. I first had the concept of protecting those we care about. I had the story then searched the TF universe to fit the bill. So the characters came second. Perhaps the wrong approach the story telling.
Whether or not they are actually siblings or proto-kins is up to the reader to decide.

I am curious though, why you chose Moonracer and Tailgate specifically. Was it their similar color schemes? I probably would have thought Windcharger would be a more likely candidate because they share the same mold (Tailgate was a retool of Windcharger). Yours works though.

Tailgate is a rarely used character, so I figured I could get away with more using him. I needed a female-warrior type character, so JP-V suggested using Moonracer and he adjusted her colours slightly so they kind of matched.

Actually, her colors are pretty dead on to canonβmint green and white in all of the right places. I'd say the only slight difference is the color of her face, which should be a light pink. Other than that' her colors and the placement of them is pretty accurate.
As for the use of Tailgate, it was a perfect choice. The story has a bit of a Rainman feel about it.
