Very nice, guys. This is, no joke, probably the first time I've ever felt for Daniel...

I think this Mosaic missed the mark by not closing with a comparison between Spike and Soundwave's respective funerals. That aside, it was pretty good.

And another successful upload! Though the story kills my favorite character, I really felt I had to take it. If only to give him a proper send-off. *sniff*
I'm still not satisfied with the colors and will probably redo them at some point.

Thanks everyone for crying with us! We hope to continue pulling your heartstrings in the future.

Wow, i never expect to see a Mosaic so touching. And just when i thought it was about Ravage and Soundwave, it turn out to be one with Daniel and Spike. O.O
REally beautiful and sad Mosaic.

Father fallen on both sides -- but only the one with the Autobots gets a proper tribute.

Figures...

Oh I can imagine the cassette's would make sure their Deceptidad got a decent send off. Even without Ravage I can see Rumble, Frenzy, Laserbeak, Buzzsaw, Ratbat, Slugfest, and Overkill having enough cumulative power to insist on it.

Definitely getting hit hard here too. My dad passed away not long ago in january, and it's never easy to look at the things of his that I have that he gave to me, or to use the skills that he taught me, and not feel that emptiness.

Great Mosaic though; the poem fit, I thought, as to what a little kid like Daniel might write. I had to go back and read it a second time to catch the 'Ravage hugging Soundwave' part.

This one really hits close to home. Like MelansGirl and Blackvegetable, I too lost my father. He passed away back in May 2002 from cancer.

A nice subject to attend to. But the poem itself plainly sucked, sorry. So much repetition, it kind of blows the feeling you're supposed to get at the end of the mozaik, which on its own is very nice.

many well known poems are repetitive and 'sucks' seems a little strong- but if it's not to your tastes then fair enough. couldnt say im a big poem fan anyway. in fact i havent read one since being forced to in school so perhaps in comparrison to other poems you are right
i like my poem

dragonnetstorm In reply to reeves83 [2010-06-22 02:06:51 +0000 UTC]

Yes 'sucks' is a strong word towards your poem. But it is just that the repetition in this particulair poem seems off by a mile. And I am not that great of a deal in poems eighter, beleve me. And I am not going to compare eigther.
But it is just the context in which this poem was 'assigned' to the story, that drove it far of course. I must say that the idea itself is still interesting literature/poetry and Transformers as a whole.
Also the idea of picking this story does make it interesting. But with all those ideas combined the poem itself is just a let down. Sorry if I break a bubble there. Other than that, I think my words speak for themselves and am never the less curious about what a possible follow up might be.

And I shall never deny you your right of liking your own poems.

Wow... this is... wow. Very touching.

So, Spike kills Soundwave (or was at least involved), so Ravage kills him in revenge?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

reeves83 In reply to ACdraw [2010-06-21 15:41:01 +0000 UTC]

pretty much yeah. in my warped mind ravage lunges through the autobot lines at daniel and spike after the humans killed soundwave using some portable rocket launcher. the autobots are distracted by a huge explosion from ramjets missiles. spike calmly pushes daniel out of the way to safety knowing full well that he himself will not survive the savage attack. the autobots quickly gain their senses and kill ravage with some well placed rifle shots before ravage could make daniel his next victim. daniel- distraught- clambers back to his fathers lifeless body.
"wake up daddy. why wont you wake up?" daniel sobs as he buries his head into his fathers limp arms. daniel looks up, his wide eyes glisten from tears as he stares into his fathers eyes. never before had daniel seen such lifeless eyes. as if throughout his life, daniel had seen his fathers very saoul residing in his fathers eyes but said soul had ran away from fear of ravages attack. ran a long long way away....never to return.
as optimus' gentle hand rested on daniels back, daniel wiped at his own cheek. wiped away the wetness. his eyes fixed onto his now wet hands- stained not by tears, but by his fathers arterial blood smudged across his face. ravage had only time enough for one swipe before his end- but he had made it count. such fragile bodies we humans have. a simple scratch to the neck and so many lives ruined.....
