actually yeah, SLUJ does sounds phonetically like SLUDGE, I just figured it was SLUD, but with the "D" incomplete, as the start of his name, but your one makes more sense lol

i just looked at it wrong, since it was talking about a female character death when i got down to that name it looked like "slut." But just a simple mistake on my part, no harm done

I think what's confusing is the world they're on is one of the ones visited at the end of the Marvel comics at a point where Sludge would have had his name for a few million years. It's a good story, but it could be a bit clearer.

Well, this is supposed to be set in the IDW comtinuity, which allows for freedom to "recreate" elements like worlds and such (see: Nebulon). I figured Grimlock's speech patterns would be a clear enough clue as to the universe, but perhaps in retrospect that was a bit too subtle.

Fair do's. I think I read it a bit too quickly first of all and missed a lot of the subtext. I think because Klo hasn't been used in IDW continuity it threw me a tad, but then the whole point of the Mosaics is to use the best continuity to tell the story. Now I've got the context I think this is cracking and it's good to see some of the dinobots other than Grim or Swoop getting some development at last!
