Description
A tribute to three generations of awesome ladies in the Star Wars universe. Padme Amidala, Leia Organa, and Rey. I'm kinda operation under the theory that Rey is Luke's daughter (making her Leia's niece and Padme's granddaughter), but even if it turns out she isn't related at all, I figure she still represents the new generation of Star Wars.If this looks kinda familiar, it's because it's actually a remake of one of my older drawings , now featuring a movie-canon third generation. (Sorry, Jaina!) One of the goals that I've set for myself this year is to revisit some of my older pieces and redraw them. With how much my skills have developed these past few years, it's been getting harder and harder to look at some of the older prints that I sell at cons despite the ideas behind them still being solid. So, I'm going to be picking out some of my old favorites and making them new again.

I like the idea of Rey being Luke's daughter too. There's just something about her that makes her seem like she's got some Luke in her. She also kind looks like Padme and Leia and has some of Leia's feistiness/temper.

I totally agree with your theory--and love this work! I love the soft/strong balance in all three of these ladies, and am so excited to see how everything's going to come together

I'm sorry, but she looks just like Leia and Padme, and I don't care what Abrams says, but Kylo Ren is literally just Jacen Solo. And until proven otherwise, I believe Rey is the film equivalent of Jaina Solo.

lol, It's cool. Most of the way through the first time I saw tFA, I was *certain* that Rey was going to be Solo's kid. The way they interacted, it just seemed to me like Han was trying to make up for lost time/trying to get the kid to follow in his footsteps. But, yes, despite the changes, there is definitely still echos of the old EU rippling through the new canon.
