yes, look just past the ladder on the opposite side of the nose, see the covered nacelle

correct
the c97 was a cargo design based on the b29, and the kc 97 was an air-to-air tanker conversion of that.
when i was a kid i remember seeing them parked at the local NAS (Floyd Bennett) so either they served for a real long time, or i'm real old...
