Description
Don't get me wrong. I absolutely love Goth culture (as you should probably know by now!) and I truly believe that Goths are some of the nicest people out there. But it isn't a bad thing to laugh at one's self once in a while
I've never been one to tell people that I don't believe in labels. The fact is, if you dress goth, people are going to call you goth. And you should be proud of it! Being acknowledged as a goth is nothing but a good thing, I believe.
Anyway, this (and other comics) were the "Easter Egg" that was on BlackWaterFall.com, so some sharp-eyed deviants have already seen it
(It's still hidden on BlackWaterFall.com if you ever want to go and look for it...)

Honestly, when people call me stuff like "goth" and "nerd", I take it as a compliment. If they mean it as an insult, I just say something to the effect of "You say that like it's a bad thing."
So, honestly, I don't mind labels, as long as they're not condescending.

But the problem falls when people think your clothing makes you Goth.

Poor guy. If only he read her shirt in his head. I don't say "don't label me" I just say something sarcastic. Sarcasm is my first language. Makes me seem rude sure, but I don't care.

I'm not Goth, I am Existentialist.
Your Drawnings are so nice and funny, but sometimes they contribute spread the goth clichè.

lol I had a problem with people saying I was goth before I realized it fit well with me, everyone always kept asking me if I was goth (I would be consider punky-fairy-goth?) I would get mad I always thought just because I like darker clothes and had taste of good old reading and wonderful music didn't make me goth XD goes to show you what you learn

It's not a bad thing, I know. But the way I think is this: I am Aurora(my name) first and foremost. My name is Aurora. My style is chosen based on myself. So, I have this whole thing worked out: People who are goth can call me goth, but people who aren't need to understand that I'm Aurora, not the fashion, therefore they must call me that. Besides....it's fun to poke fun at ourselves in gothy corners, giggling over Bauhaus, Siouxie, Specimen, etc, saying "LOL WE'RE SO GOTH! "

Ya know what I hate. When you find those whiney goths who bash every other group. (for instance when I go into the mall and walk past mall goths who start cussing at me for being preppy.)

Mall goths will be mall goths. They think it makes them look badass or something.

Lol, some people are like that at my school. I'm not goth or anything, I guess most would consider myself emo. The goths at my school, Most of them are metalheads, hate even using the term goth. I'm like uhhh you dress like one? Why not be proud of your sterotype? :3

Because wearing an outfit doesn't make you Goth at all. Goth is about the music. Many people who dress in dark clothing aren't even Goth and are not proud of the label if it's not who they are.

this comic actually helped me ^_^
i've always wanted to be in telling people i'm "goth" but i thought that i'd be doing it injustice ... but fuck it
I'm Goth.
Sure I don't have the money to buy all of my favorite clothes that are labeled as Goth, but I will in the future! ... hopefully

For me it's like someone said on the internets: "labels are for cans not people". Because everyone is different from each other, but the majority of people just follow what the media tells them to follow and opress people who think different, in order to "make them normal".

No one has ever asked me if I was emo, but I have been asked if I am goth. Which I find quite amusing as my hair is (naturally) blonde, I don't wear too much eye make up and I neither lighten nor darken my skin. It must be the personality

I suppose I could be called goth, I could be called many things. But I prefer not to be labeled unless you believe you have that label too, if that makes sense.

Me: Really? But...I thought that black clothing and skulls and stuff belongs to the rap scene?
Bully: ...Huh?
Me: Anywaaays, thank you stating the obvious my dear. Have a nice day! *walking away*
Really, bullies won't understand you afterwards, it's hilarious

It makes me happy when people say something about me being a goth kid. lolz
Too bad the stores around where I live don't support my style of goth..

xD I love it.
If somebody calls me a goth, right-wing nutjob, Jesus-freak, or hipster, I don't mind. They're right, for the most part! As long as I know I don't fit inside a box, I'm peachy. Besides, labeling is just a way to make things simpler. I like simple.
FAVED!
