Maybe I'm confused....but isn't Frisk the one who confused to Sans her true feelings? Sans didn't even make moves on her. So what Chara is telling just doesn't add up...

I actually do not know who to believe.
Chara's being too harsh and probably is bending a bit the truth to make it sound waaay worse that it really is.
But
He's got a point.
But, Sans DID also tried to tell his part of the story being reall harsh on Chara. He wanted Frisk to be on his side 100%. Sans ended up hurting Frisk, and that takes away some of his credibility.
Both of them want Frisk to be against the other. And both of them are trying to bend the truth on their favor.
But maybe I'm wrong! xD

I'd like to point out to Chara that sans could've just been best buddies with Frisk to ensure a stable timeline, and that Alphys is trying to separate them and give the humans their own bodies.

I can actually think only of one reason why Chara wants to ruin Sans' and Frisk's relationship: when Sans and Frisk will do some private things together, Chara certainly WOULDN'T WANT TO BE THERE

Plus there's also the possible notion of Chara dating other people too.

I know Chara what you are doing there and I trust in Frisk to see through that simple manipulation.

I mean... If Sans just simply wanted to make sure Frisk didn't reset, why would he go through all the trouble just to "act like" he was in love with Frisk, like Chara seems to imply - that Sans' love for Frisk just seems like some way for him to keep control. Sans is a pretty lazy guy, and he could just as simply be Frisk's friend all while keeping an eye on her, if his intentions were really as Chara suggests.
It really does seem that Sans has deep feelings for Frisk. Hell, he even asked her if dating him is what she really wanted, which meant he was giving her the choice.
Talking things out with Chara isn't exactly the solution Sans can go for. Especially when he's dealing with someone who seems so damn manipulative and unpredictable. The last thing he would want is for Chara to become some kind of actual threat.
While I can't deny that Sans would have likely told the story more in his own favour, to me it seems clear he's got his soul in the right place. He wants the best for Frisk, and he doesn't exactly trust Chara. Out of the two of them, Chara seems like the more manipulative one, who only wants to fulfill his own desires.
He complains that all Sans tries to do is make him look bad, but then that's all he ever does for Sans, constantly pointing out his flaws and the mistakes he makes just so Frisk will lose trust in him. Chara is kind of a hypocrite in that regard, because he is just trying to only think of what he wants and he doesn't care if Frisk doesn't love him and that she's in love with Sans.
