Okay, so I'm kinda hesitant to post any My Little Pony art on my account... Mostly because I don't want anyone to get the wrong idea that my gallery is soon to be flooded with ponies, forever-more. That's not going to happen.I don't really watch the show (I've only seen the first couple of eps and it's not really my thing), but I love the hell out of the style and character designs!
Any way, I keep eying up one of the toys at work. Rainbow Flash~ (bundled with Rainbow Dash) I just love her colours. x) She would go very nicely on my computer desk.
Hopefully some little kid will buy it soon, before I find myself wasting my money on more crap I don't need.But~ That damn toy's been giving me an itch to draw my own pony.
If I were to make characters, I'd base them on objects in the universe. Supernova, nebula, etc.

Heh. Su talked me into making pony versions of a couple of my Gaea Project OCs. That's about as far as I'm going into the dreaded realm of the Pony-Craze. Some of those people are rabid.
Although, they didn't eat me alive for my review of the show they idolize, so maybe they're not as bad as I thought they were.

Well, there is kind of a running theme of getting ready for a big ball kinda-thing, but you only get snippits of it in a few individual episodes.
But my thing is that "it's for little kids" isn't an excuse and I really hate that big companies use it as one. I especially hate that parents use it. I mean, you wouldn't use that excuse for anything else. "Who cares if this school is the lowest rating in the country and none of the teachers have degrees or certifications; it's just kids, they'll go anyway." "Who cares if this restaurant makes shitty food that has a reputation for making people get sick after eating it; it's just kids, they'll eat it anyway." It sounds ridiculous that you would say that, so why do we allow it for entertainment? Speaking from experience, the kind of entertainment we subject ourselves to has a huge influence on us, especially when we're young. As far as I'm concerned, it's the entertainment for young children that we have the biggest obligation to make as good as we can. They need it more than the rest of us.
Sorry, I ranted. That happens sometimes.

lol Ah I wouldn't say freak out, but I dunno... This My Little Pony show just seems to have the biggest band wagon I've ever seen, and I don't particularly want to jump on it. I definitely see why so many people are into it though. They're so very cute and colourful~

second of all, I've seen these things around, totally, I just didn't know it was an actual show on television, I just thought people were bringing back My little pony, kind of like with the troll Homestuck comic thingys became so popular........(I need to spend more time on the internet

Hence the reason you will never see MLP art on my account, even though I have tempted on a few occasions to give it a go.
But seriousness aside, this is quite the nice little work here Kier it definitely has a feel of the show.
