Design. I'm actually drawing a dragon kind of character though I'm not coming along so well. I suck at coloring.. which is ironic cuz I colored all the time growing up.
I color and for some reason the color just looks flat.. like it's just painted in front of the character. lol

I actually found a colour tutorial in the Daily Deviations yesterday: [link] Might help give you some pointers.
As for the design part, I don't know what tutorial might suit you best... Depends on what style you're trying to go for. I do suggest trying to look at similar styles to what you're hoping to draw in, then look at characters body shapes and features that you might be able to utilize in your own character.
