This is absolutely gorgeous! It looks like it could clearly fit several settings. A ghost moving on, an entity's arrival, being brought out of the dark, being saved from one's own mind, there are so many posibilities!

1. The poor girl is afraid of seeing the light coming in her room because it means that someone is opening the door.

In this meaning, I can see a really bad possible person who is coming in (maybe the wrong interpretation).. like his mother coming to hit she very hard as always she does because she's mad (she's crazy) or her father coming to rape her again !! (Yes, I know.. I'm so negative and my thoughts were in a bad way a bit lol )

Hm, ja, ich hab auch lang über die "dunkle" Gesichtshälfte nachgedacht... ob die zu dunkel ist... oder die andere zu hell...
Abr im Endeffek bin ich dann immer wieder zu dem Schluss gekommen, dass das eigentlich nur zum eindruck beiträgt... ausserdem ist die Tür / Tor / was auch immer so ziemlich die einzige Lichtquelle hier... Von daher passt das schon. Ich wollte ja auch ein eher "düsteres" Bild haben, haha!

Ist aber gut, ne andere Meinung zu hören. Danke dafür.

i used some adjustment layers, for which i painted masks so they only affect a part of the faca, to make the lighting...

In general, this is VERY layerbased....
