My longest page this far. Lots of stuff happening, starting with the discussion on cartoon hands, then introducing 2 "new" major characters, and their connection with BonBon. Also, the outdoors backgrounds you see in here are, for the first time, all vectored by me, which is why it took so long to get this page done. :3 (Of course, the individual buildings as well as the veggie cart were based on screenshots from the show. So still, praises go the animator team where it looks awesome and scolding goes to me where it doesn't. :3)

I've dug into the Derpy - Ditzy "controversy", and finally I decided that I call her both. Some say that in Winter Wrap up there was a different pony who brought the birds back, while they sent Ditzy: my answer is, since Ditzy went into a completely wrong direction, and after they realized this they sent somepony else. They didn't frown much on poor Derpy after she got back empty hoofed, they are kinda used to incidents like this. She got depressed a bit, but her little family is always there to comfort her.

With this disease idea, I can explain why her eyes are normal on one occasion, and derped on another. And also can keep her goofy side that at least half the fandom loves.
Of course, she was bullied frequently when she was a filly (mainly by those pegasi who bullied Fluttershy too), "Derpy" was an insult till she started using it with pride (because she realized that if she doesn't take offense to it, it takes away the point the bullies are using it for).

Also, in this universe she adopted an abandoned filly and named her Dinky Doo. (Here Ditzy is a young adult, in human years she's in her early twenties. I'll most likely do an age distribution summary among the major characters or something, most of them are young adults, with Berry being the oldest.) Although there's no blood relation between them, they act like loving mother and daughter.

As for what's the relation between Derpy and Carrot Top... friendship? Or maybe more? I won't dig into this, I leave it to the readers to decide what goes better with their headcanon. :3
