Okay, I didn't think this through.
You see, when I make something and put it on DA, the thing I love to receive the most is comments. So I wanted to comment here. I wanted to say something relevant, or at least somehow put to words how extremely relevant your work is TO ME. But the words! They fail me! There are other stories that give me a sharper high, a headier peak perhaps, but this one... this story is the truth to me.Β
If I could write about equestria, it'd look like this exactly. You've done all the work for me!

Her parents could take a weekend long skiing vacation for their anniversary and due to a blizzard (because a cloud factory was accidentally left running all night by mistake) or something get stuck in Badhorsepun city for a month. Then they'd need somepony with nothing better (or at least not having a job that would prevent them from supervising her after school ends. Being a shop owner or freelance musician would fit that description) to look after her while they are away.Β
Considering that this comic is still on day 4 after 5 chapters, a month would be 42 chapters long, which is plenty of time. Obviously because this is the answer to the universe, TriteBristle MUST make this happen or spacetime will explosion everywhenwhere.
Or a bureaucratic error happening when Lyra gets a freelance musician licence caused her and Bonbon to adopt Tootsie and because bureaucracy is stupid they now have to live in the same house for at least a few months before the reversal forms are processed and the delays stop happening. But how could that happen? Because Mayor mayor was noticed the massive concentration of dawws when Tootsie, Lyra, and Bonbon are together and thought it would improve her chances of reelection.Β
Or it turns out Tootsies parents are really part of the spy organization thingy and her real parents are looking after a false Tootsie also with the spies somewhere else. After it's uncovered, Tootsie cant be immediately reunited with her parents due to travel restrictions (they moved to the gryphonpun kingdom), so somepony needs to look after her in the meantime.
Or it turns out Tootsie has an identical twin no one knew of because reasons and Tootsies parents can't afford to raise them both but they get confused about which is which including themselves due to amnesia or clone memory sharing or whatever.
Or Tootsie is a musician who uses candies as instruments and strange old laws no one cares about enough to changeΒ requires her to live with whoever she isΒ learningΒ fromΒ (hence Pinkie Pie living in Sugar Cube Corner). And she chooses Lyra & Bonbon, but some accident and now she has to always be wearing a glow-in-the-darkΒ sombrero.
No those aren'tΒ ridiculous shuddupgoaway.Β
