He’s….a tricky one. There’s a part of me who WANTS him to be GRAND and MENACING with a lot of pomp to show of who he is. And then there’s the other part of me who thinks less is more BECAUSE he is Darkseid. I appreciate Jim Lee giving him a new look, but I think a more classic look should be his.Some of this redesign is based offa Lee’s, some off a *nebezial piece, and pulling from my own ideas. Its pretty good, but I would hate to draw that face over and over.

I really like this, he looks more realistic because he's not overly massive. He looks like he could work well in a movie if this design was used.

I......I don't know how I feel about the redesign. I agree with you about the Lee redesign. It seemed too colorful for Darkseid and.......too super villain-ish, which, by that, I mean too mainstream villain.....if that makes any sense. Lord Darkseid always had the lest flamboyant outfit, aside from the skirt, and that made him a little more intimidating. He didn't need the Omega symbol on his belt buckle, he had those freaking eyes!!!!!!! It's hard to find a perfect redesign for guy. I love your background but when I look at Lord D I kinda only see a burn victim. No offense or anything.

Totally! Yeah, his simplicity was his strength because when he showed up, you KNEW it was going to crazy and most likely SOMEONE was going to die. I can see the burn victim, that was really pulling from the Lee design. You never really knew all that detail was in his face until that was a closeup of it, but Lee being Lee and me trying to be like Lee!
