Part twelve: Plot twist Part 12 - Life lessons

After the life lessons of Rafiki and Simba's decision to take his place back into the circle of life, Simba had gone off to tell his father about his decision. Mufasa was absolutely relieved to hear Simba had come back to his senses. But this also meant they had to go back and face Scar together. The idea made Mufasa nauseous. He felt like he had abandoned Sarabi and the other lionesses by not returning as soon as possible, but he had no choice. Because for the first time in a long time he had the feeling that he had regained his maximum strength again. But then again, he was an old lion, so he needed Simba for their return.

''I want to prepare you for what to expect when we return,'' Mufasa told Simba. ''I know your uncle well, and how unpredictable he is. This is why we must not expect a warm welcome by him, especially now he has taken the hyena's into the pridelands.''

Simba rose an eyebrow. ''Then what can we expect?''

''The worst..'' Mufasa sighed. ''I know I have not been there for you to teach you how to be a grown up lion. I mean, we don't really eat bugs and stuff..'' Mufasa snorted. ''However, you are going to need some new skills in case we have to fight Scar. We can't expect the lionesses to help us, as we don't know how they feel about our disappearance and our return..'' Mufasa saw Simba's ears lowering in his neck as he started about the lionesses. Simba missed them, he could see.

''This is why I am going to teach you how to hunt and fight!'' Mufasa continued. ''Although a big part of it is already in your nature..''

Simba swallowed and looked over his shoulder to Timon and Pumbaa. Mufasa saw it and grinned. ''Timon!'' Mufasa shouted to the two. ''We need your help!''

Timon ran proudly to the two. ''Glad to help you! What can I do?'' Mufasa smirked and pointed to a rock a couple of meters away. ''Please just stand there, with your back to us. And stay there..'' Mufasa grinned. Timon walked insecurely to the rock Mufasa pointed out. ''Well.. That's an odd request..''

Mufasa turned to Simba and pushed his sons shoulders a bit to the ground. ''Now son, let's see what is still in your nature..''
