Part thirteen: Plot twist Part 13 - Plotting

As soon as the first sun rays hit Mufasa's eye, he was widely awake. It was time, time to claim back the precious land and family that once was his. He never felt more ready to return and restore the circle of life.

He looked over his shoulder, and saw his son Simba sleeping next to him. Simba was almost fully grown now, and Mufasa felt so blessed that he could see the last part of Simba's youth, and be there to train him.

As Mufasa looked up, he saw Rafiki above them in a tree. Rafiki was smiling and nodded to him. ''It is time, Mufasa..'' Rafiki whispered.

And as soon as Simba had woken up as well, they were all set. This was the moment Mufasa had been waiting for, for so long. Ever since the stampede, where he had heard Scar's words to Simba. ''Run away.. Run and never return..'' It brought shivers down his spine, but it was time to take revenge on those words.

''Let's return, son..'' Mufasa growled, as he looked sideways to Simba.
