Part sixteen: Plot twist Part 16 - Arrival at Pride Rock

Scar felt dizzy as he saw two shades of lions turning into a clear vision.. of Mufasa and.. Simba? ''I.. How..'' Scar mumbled.

This was the moment Mufasa had been waiting for ever since Scar left him for dead after trying to kill him at the gorge. Every day he has thought about how he would feel about seeing Scar again. Would he be angry? Would he want to tear his brother into pieces after all he had done to him, Simba, the lionesses and the circle of life? And now that he saw his brother again, he felt nothing but pity and disgust.

''It is time you move away from the Pridelands, Scar,'' Mufasa said calmly. In the corner of his eyes he saw Sarabi. She looked scared, yet amazed. Mufasa couldn't wait to spend his life with her again.

''You heard my father,'' Simba added. ''Step aside, you coward..''

Scar huddled together and swallowed. ''Brother.. Simba.. If I knew you two were alive, I would've come to get you.. To save you!''

Mufasa snorted and took a threatening step closer to Scar. ''No you wouldn't. You planned it all, didn't you? To kill your own brother and nephew, the heir to the throne - and for what? To be king of this dead land?'' Mufasa moved his head to some plants behind him, where no leaves were left behind to live. ''You never tried to fit in with the pride, you didn't even try to hide your hate towards me, the lionesses, Simba, and to the Circle of Life..''

Scar lifted his head up again and showed a fake smile. ''Th.. there's no hate towards..''

Simba roared aggressively. ''Stop the lies!'' His roar made Scar huddle back together again.

Mufasa glanced at Simba. He didn't want to use any violence towards Scar. He was insecure whether he was strong enough, and besides that, he didn't want to be like his brother. ''I said, it is time you move away from the Pridelands, Scar.. For good..''

Scar looked at his claws and smiled softly. He turned around to Mufasa and Scar and bowed with a weird grin on his face.
''As you wish..'' he said softly. ''...Your majesties..''

Part seventeen: coming soon

Here's the moment we've all been waiting for! It's funny, I've drawn this scene before (-> Surprise ) which inspired me to write and draw this Alternate Universe or plot twist. And seventeen drawings later, we're finally here! The story is not finished yet, but it won't be much longer.
