Description

The Haunting Gaze of a Dying Star: The Helix Nebula, commonly referred to by many as "The Eye of God", is a planetary nebula located in the constellation of Aquarius. This is one object that I have been hoping to capture for a long time, and clear (albeit slightly hazy) skies finally provided me with the opportunity to do a 3.5 hour project on it.

Acquisition Information:
Telescope: FSQ85ED at f/5.3
Camera: SBIG ST8300M, Baader LRGB filters
Mount: Losmandy G11/G2
Integration: 3.5 hours LRGB
