Description
Nov/ 2009 - Shell Beach, CaliforniaAnother nice result of the long shutter speed. I was happy with how the sky turned out as well. There was no changes in the colors, but I did sharpen up the picture to enhanced the edges.
*** Update, Dec 2011 ***
Been going through a lot of old photos lately, reworking them using newer techniques I've learned over the last year or so. This was taken in Nov of '09, in Shell Beach, the high sand which normally covers this rock in the center of the image was pulled out to sea leaving the eroded trench visible. The surreal colors of the picture is as it was captured on the day. These are rare colors and I've seldom achieved them since this day. No doubt it was due to the long shutter speed (13 secs) combined with the heavy cloud cover. The pink colors on the horizon had a hand in it to I'm sure. Nature is an organic recipe for all kinds of unique and cosmic conditions.

Gorgeous image. The cool colors are really impressive. The effect of the long exposure is great too.

Thanks so much, one of my favs. Was a pretty challenging shot to get so having it come out so great was very rewarding, thank you.
