Ultimate Reference Sheet of my Blue Jay Dutch Angel Dragon, Glitch!

Hooyah, been wanting to do this for a long time! I've had so many ideas in my head I was itching to render and get on paper, err, digital canvas as it were, as well as to flesh out Glitch as a character and member of the Squadron, aka the Flock!

As a play on her name, Glitch is a lightning elemental! So named because she makes electronic devices 'glitch' when she's around them, due to a constant voltage surging through her body and present in her fur! (True story - a friend and I were hanging out when I had the fursuit with us, and Glitch kept making the music we were listening to skip!) As a result, she tends to be cautious around PEDs, knowing she ought not to touch them or she'll fry them. But she's constantly curious as to what folks are thumb-hammering away at on their phones, and as the habit of leaning over folks' shoulders and reading their text messages, lol.

She's quite different from my other characters, as what she makes up for in elemental strength, she lacks in physical strength. Her physique is closest to that of the Thoroughbred horse and Blue Jay, making her adept at sprint, speedy flight, and being light and nimble on her feet. She doesn't possess very powerful jaws or slashing power, opting to dodge and evade opponents and escape when the coast is clear.

If the situation calls for it, however, Glitch is able to channel the constant electricity in her body through her paws and maw, residual sparks escaping from her eyes. The electricity essentially 'soaks' her fur, and she becomes charged and glows from the inside out, eventually engulfing her entire body in blinding sparks! Put 'blitz' in your comment if you read all this and the whole ref sheet! ;> It is obvious when she is angry, upset, or excited as well, as residual lightning arcs between the three brow horns, which act as 'lightning rods.'

Anyway, back to the art! Playing off of Kaneohe's Ref I recently finished, I wanted to include many more 'environmental shots' showing Glitch in certain landscapes and situations! I think these are great to add to Refs, as they provide good examples of the character in their natural habitat and their elemental powers. They also add dynamic snippets to the Ref itself! Expect many more of these in upcoming Refs I'm working on! (And possibly an entire Ref or two made entirely of these, hmmmmm! )

Aaaand, yep, that's a Sniper not-so-cameo up there! Along with the environmental shots, I think shots of characters interacting with each other are a lot of fun to depict as well. XD And I think it helps to emphasize, too, that all my characters are connected in some way! Even though they may be physically distant, the members of the Squadron, the local subject matter experts, and even foreign contacts and allies are all interconnected in a dynamic, shifting web in my brain~

Prooooobably my favorite shot of this whole Ref is that back-facing anthro shot, not gonna lie. I'm super happy with how that turned out and the attitude it portrays there. Gees, Glitch, careful where you're swinging that floofy death tail!
