Digging me some Mary Blair today.Project I'm on atm has a similar vibe, though this wasnt technically art for it when I started.
EDIT- whoa! Ew! seriously nasty compression...and increased saturation, which actually looks nice. Thanks, gimped rubbish deviantArt shitem!

I didnt use any, like..I didnt look at any Mary B and try to imitate her work, just like..inspired off the back of it? Like I was watching Cinderella and it put me in the mood for fairytales via Mad Men. When you look at her stuff you can see Samurai Jack in there, Animal Crossing, Zelda...so all of that kind of got mixed in too. I need to look at it more though, I'm not that familiar with her work beyond the context of general 1950s illo style, I could learn a heck of a lot from it.
