Description
Final Fantasy Fail, a [formerly, now at a whim] weekly comic spoofing the Final Fantasy video game series. They are done for fun and aren't meant to be taken seriously. These are all quick works and more manga-esque than what I normally do so don't judge me based on them. Ideas for future comics are always welcome.Have a guess which game I just playe through again?
Final Fantasy VII
Safer Sephiroth has got to have the coolest attack of any FF boss I've seen but also the most ridiculous. It destroys the entire solar system.
...so what was the point of Meteor again?
Star Trek's Spock seemed the logical choice to point out how illogical Super Nova is. Please note I have actually never seen an episode with Spock in it and the only Star Trek movie with him in it which I've seen is the First Movie. Sorry if he's not too accurate.
The rest of the character, Tifa, Cloud and Cid, were the party I used to beat him. I was at level 55-60 which was a bit higher than I wanted.

Bizzaro Sephiroth was actually more of a challenge, in my eyes... And after playing a good number of Square Soft/Enix games, I have learned one very important thing: "Don't question video games, or Japan, for that matter."

Bizzaro is a pain until you work out how to stop him regenerating. If you're lucky the game will give you only one battle party (It can give you one to three separate parties that can be switched between). If you've only got the one party you just attack all the parts and they can't revive.

I never had KotR when I've versed Seph. I tend to get up to Meteor Cave, beat Seph at whatever level I'm at and then go of and do the side quests. I might return later just to curb stomp him.

It's probably a miss translation. I looked it up here: [link] and they think it may have meant to be Sepher or Seraph (Seraphim being six winged angels)

Me and my friend who were playing thru this was only at 62 when we accidently went down and fought Sephy. When he started this attack we started panicing horribly but when it did such pittiful damage we were like... eh!? By then most ppl had pheonix plus special attack so I don't see why it couldn't do like 9000 or more, and you had a good point, in it making meteors summon fairly useless. Why couldn't he just have that comet crash into earth instead of the sun? Wouldn't that do the same thing as meteor? But you know, quicker?

I think Super Nova acts something like Graviga but based on your max HP rather than current. All my characters were reduced to ~10% HP and there was about 1,500 HP difference between the characters. It's only really a problem if a) you've got some damage before he casts it or b) you're a twit and don't heal up imediately afterwards and get wiped out by Pale Horse or that devistating physical attack of his.

I don't know, I just never had it affect me that much. I had him use it on me twice in a row and was still in good standing. Maybe if the battle went on longer he got harder, I beat him pretty fast. bizarro sephy gave me alot of problems because I was so confused. lol

Yeah the bizarro form is a pain until you realise that little bit of advise at the beggining of the battle was important. The fight is a lot easier if there is only one part. Unfortunatley I don't know how you get only one party to fight instead of two or three.

I really think it's based on the lvl you are going into the fight but I'm not sure. I had one team when I first played and three the next time after some lvling, but a friend said they were pretty low and had all three so idk.

It's about time! when i first saw Supernova, i was all like. "Wait, If this was reality the battle would've ended by now."

I always thought about that, destroying the solar system but I get out of it unscathed?
Thank you Spock for telling this to Seph XD

Yes it is slightly ironic that a human can survive something a sun can't.

I've always loved how the final fantasy final boss' attacks are always exaggerated
Also super nova was damn long...

Yeah, I swear he spent nearly half the fight using that technique. He'd just come down into the reach of my characters melee attacks (idiot only equiped offensive materia on one character) and then he'd shoot back up again. But I have fought him once where he didn't get a chance to use Super Nova.
At least he's much quicker to defeat than Ultimecia in FF8.

Oh right... she was such a pain >_> not even easy to beat with that

Come to think of it...I don't think we ever beat Ultimecia without an infinite item cheat thanks to an Explorer cheat disk.
