Description This one's a bit obscure. I doubt many people have played the NES version of FFIII. Mainly becuase there was no official English translation (there are fan translations of it though).

Anyway. FFIII is probibly the origin of cross dressing Final Fantasy characters. All the player characters are male, yet the Shaman job class sports a very femanine cute cat hood (which Krile from FFV's white mage outfit is based on). So here we have a Shaman being hit on by a Theif.

Devout=Shaman

Final Fantasy Fail, a weekly comic spoofing the Final Fantasy video game series. They are done for fun and aren't meant to be taken seriously. These are all quick works and more manga-esque than what I normally do so don't judge me based on them. Ideas for future comics are always welcome.

PS. The photo in the background is one of my own. Taken somewhere near Mt Kozioscko

"We're Final Fantasy! I didn't think it mattered!"

"Oh yeah! Like nobody's ever heard that before!"

"NERD!"

"PERV!"

Or 'it's from Japan'.

Then again, a lot of the NES classes had short shorts, speedos, or kilts.

True, thanks to graphical limitations. But the white mage sprite was extremely feminine compared to all the other job classes in the game.

*SIGH* Final Fantasy III one of my favorite games! Sadly it's poorly represented in Dissidia.....sad

If they're only using the NES game there aren't really many characters they could add. Perhaps they could add Xande as a villain character but he might be a bit too close to Golbez.

All characters in FF3 are male?? Are you sure? You seem to forgot about Refia.

I've only played the original FFIII on a NES emulator. In the original there is no Ark, Refia, etc and they are are all specified as being male.

While it is a funny joke, it wasn't funny until I got to read through the description. And to quote the Joker: "It isn't funny if you have to explain the joke."
I'm not trying to be rude or anything - I'm just saying.

Well most of the FFF's are intended as purely in jokes for those who have played the games.

I know I'm not particularly good at comics.

Sorry. Did not mean to offend you. I mean, you seem to have the potential there. At least from my point of view.
And while I do understand that you do these for FF fans, it could as well be nice to introduce people to Final Fantasy. But regardless - it's cool.

Luckily, this is all changed in the DS version. Only Refia gets the dress.

Still haven't beaten it myself. Sort of lost interest and went off and replayed FFVII for a bit.

At least you should get to see the most famous scene from the game.

ElfMaster64 [2010-07-25 00:35:50 +0000 UTC]

but you do know that in DS version Luneth and Ingus take off the hood...though they still walk in boots...oh poor bastards

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Typthis In reply to ElfMaster64 [2010-07-25 01:39:29 +0000 UTC]

Yes but this is specifically based on the original NES version which has no Luneth or Ingus.

I don't know that much about the DS version a) don't have a DS and b)the characters have been chibified.

ElfMaster64 [2010-07-25 00:34:54 +0000 UTC]

yeah...while I hate it...FFIII was prob the first cross dressing for...hell any game! it's not like all games have class system...anyways SURPRISE I have FFIII NES...ok on an emulator w/translation patch anyways this was a brilliant idea from the start...and I actually like it lmao cool job

Typthis In reply to ElfMaster64 [2010-07-25 01:40:48 +0000 UTC]

Lou136 [2010-05-01 10:59:36 +0000 UTC]

Well there is still Refia...
But... FFIII is definitely the beginning of that crossdressing thing ! Luneth and arc, just to see teir faces, are asking for that ! XD

Typthis In reply to Lou136 [2010-05-01 21:36:36 +0000 UTC]

Luneth and co. are only named in the DS remake. The main characters have no names in the original game. Much like the anonymous heroes of the first game.

Lou136 In reply to Typthis [2010-05-02 07:51:07 +0000 UTC]

.. So then why the hell is everyone complaining on Onion knight in Dissidia ? o_o

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Typthis In reply to Lou136 [2010-05-02 09:34:56 +0000 UTC]

Ummm I don't quite get the question. The Onion Knight (or Kid the translation I have) is the most basic job class in the game. It's rubbish until you get all the Onion Equipment.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Lou136 In reply to Typthis [2010-05-02 09:38:19 +0000 UTC]

Well I've seen a lot of people saying how Luneth should have been in dissidia because Onion knight was not the heroe...
