Cover artwork for the Exalted 2nd Edition RPG supplement Scroll of the Exalts. The composition and character posing are meant to homage the famous 1st edition Player's Handbook cover painting, only with Exalted signature characters standing in for the originals.

The Art Director wanted one of each Exalt type, and tried to pick ones who would work visually with the original composition. This scene isn't a real event, just an homage of the Player's Handbook with Exalted characters.

Looks very interesting. I'm inclined to check out Exalted now for curiosity of what it is you're depicting here, the characters, weapons, etc. So, mission accomplished.

Is this a HUITZIL thing or something? I know you guys did some Darkstalkers stuff in the past so I was just curious if this was a tribute to that mexi-robot thing or something having to do with the storyline of exalts. And no I'm not a racist or anything I was just curious as to the origin because the pic is very cool.

It's actually a statue of a God-like character from the Exalted setting, not something we came up with on our own. The Art Director gave us some visual guidelines and we designed it based on their specs.

That's Cyan and she's not blind, the thing covering her eyes lets her see in the dark like it was daylight, and turns light into darkness as well.

As soon as I saw it I knew exactly which DnD cover this was mimicking. My Dad kept all his old DnD books, this is just a grand refresher of that old classic feel up-done.
