I'm obsessed with them when it comes to photography. They're my favorite subjects.

So, do they actually sit there looking at themselves in the mirror, or is this what they look like after you've swatted them into insensibility and placed their unconscious bodies on the mirror?

Aaaaaaah! I'd never swat any of my moths. Never, never, never, never. Never. They're my buddies who happen to only live a week or so. Besides, a swatted moth doesn't make for good pictures.
Most times they don't sit still. I wait a lot. They're usually busy crawling anywhere and everywhere but where I want them to be. Then they fly. Usually toward a light. I try to have all my picture taking completely done by the time they're able to fly... because that's when they start banging into things and knocking the dust off their wings. Hopefully a mate will hatch around the same time they do that way they have a purpose. Otherwise they just look good for a week... maybe two.

Haha, I only asked because they always seem to look like they've just fallen over forward when they're on the mirror. A "splat" kind of pose.
Insect reproduction is usually so irritatic, it's amazing that they manage to have any offspring at all.
