It wasn't the light shining in through the windows that woke Velkan up. No, he could sleep through that easily. What woke him up was the sudden weight sprawled across his back. He opened his eyes and tilted his head to find Dick's serene face laying against his shoulders as the younger lycan nuzzled against his neck.
“Good morning to you as well.” Velkan grumbled affectionately.
Dick didn't respond, snuggling against Velkan as he reached forward and grabbed Velkan's arm.
“I'm not going anywhere.” Velkan murmured, smiling gently.
Dick either nodded or snuggled him some more. A moment later he was breathing normally, signifying that he'd fallen asleep again.
Velkan considered moving Dick off of him but thought better of it. Dick had had a rough night. It had been his first fight at the lycan night club in town and Dick had given it all, fighting three opponents in a row without stopping before he'd finally given into exhaustion and lost the fourth fight. His injuries from the night's excitement were nonexistent but he was still obviously tired. Velkan would let him sleep. He watched Dick's face as the sun continued to pour into their bedroom, wishing he knew better how to be a father and raise his troubled pup.

I'm officially on holidays from today on and going on a vacation with my bf on Sunday. After that I will be back with fresh ideas and commission work
