The things on hear ears are modified fishing equipment, fashioned into some sort of ear-jewelry for yinglets.

Maybe a chance for each to tell zheir own stories.
Minalasi; maybe some of her history, origins, and zhose of her Enclave. And what has earned her zhose self-disparaging labels.
And Mori' Rai; maybe flashbacks to his earliest memories, his original Yinglet companions, now all dead. And a quick review of what we have seen him go zhrough up to now.
But mysteries may remain yet to be answered; zhe mystery liquid, zhe Roon, Casifar's unusual markings...
...and zhe ever so mysterious "Mr Zenter".
And zhere is still zhe "in zhe meantime" side of zhe story; Mori'Rai not showing up at home, apparently disappearing, but leaving behind his journal and his precious bell. Zhe strange "not illegal" commodity Olivier has brought to "The Thorned Sun" by request of zhe mystery "client".
And zhe oh-so mysterious "Stargold".
And zhe biggest mystery of all: What are zhose Birds at zhe Baramor Port?
So so many "beans" in so so many pots, yet to be spilled. But hopefully, no spilling of Mori' Rai's toebeans!
