I seriously. Don't know what to say about this. I don't even have a title for it. This is definitely one of the few pieces I put a huge amount of work into compositionally. But something still seems off... I dunno. I'm tired. And I've been staring at this way too long lol.The two OCs are 's characters. The scene suggestion sorta started as just messing around in the Livestream chat room that turned into... whatever the hell this is. I guess a slice of life scene for college/post-college life in the Pokemon world? Yeah, let's go with that.
Now to answer some questions. Yes, Zurusukin is smoking a joint, yes that's a beer bottle, yes the dude's playing Sonic [Classic Collection], and yes, they probably got that couch off the side of the road lol. Oh, and the posters are the commissioner's dog and Megan Fox. derp
And why the silver Gamecube controllers? From personal experience, my original purple controller crapped out on me a few years ago forcing me to replace it with a silver one. That's it really.
Tentatively opening this to critiques. The perspective's all sorts of fucked up, I know. Realistically, that room is waaaaay too small. My bad. Fucking perspective how does it work? Idk. Help me.
Also should this be flagged as mature? I personally don't think so but others might have different ideas. There are far worse things on this site than a Pokemon smoking weed, really.
I have one more commission left but after that... no more. I want a break lol. COMMISSIONS ARE CLOSED thank you~
PS- is the new way DA has the descriptions REALLY ugly for everyone else? Jesus.

Wow, I love the urban setting, and everyone looks so natural and seem to be having a really good time. What I especially like about the adult spin to this picture is that it just proves how humans never grow out of their relationships with their PokΓ©mon; it's a lovely thing to think of, really.
Plus, it's kinda funny seeing a PokΓ©mon smoke a joint XD . I wonder who would get arrested for a PokΓ©mon using illegal drugs, the PokΓ©mon or the human...

I think this looks awesome, it even caught my eye as a thumbnail and I just had to click to see the full picture. It's obvious a lot of effort went into this. There's a nice circle of action going on with all of the characters, helping to lead one's eye from one to another. Even if your perspective is a little wonky, I think it's good enough to keep the picture looking very pleasing. Great work!

This is all sorts of amazing. I think this is basically what I'd imagine my life as if Pokemon were real. Everyone is just oozing character and I love their interactions.
Personally I don't see anything glaringly wrong with your perspective... and I imagine the room just goes on past where the picture cuts off on the TV and the side of the couch. I was actually impressed by how well everything/everyone fit in/ sat in the environment.

See, i put off responding here for the entire 24 hours it was in my inbox, because I honestly didn't know WHAT to say other than the "holy crap how to I comment to this awesomeness".
So I'll give it my best lol
Watching this was so much fun, even though I idled the whole time. I did enjoy watching it from all stages though, I can't believe anyone can get such clean linearts. And you're so bloody precise too. And heck, while we're talking about precise, THE DETAILS GEEZ. It looks simple and clean, but if you really look at it, you get some pretty insane, such as the plaid shirt, the DS (you actually put detail on those buttons), those blinds, shading for EACH INDIVIDUAL WIRE.
Seriously, every time you dish an image out, i always think "how is she going to best this?". You always do.
The concept itself is quite amusing as well. I've always loved people who take the pokemon world into a new level, like it actually could happen. And seriously, what's better than playing video games with your video game characters by your side?
Critique wise, there's really only one thing that bugs me. The floor line on the left side of the image is angled too far down. I think it needs to be a bit more horizontal than that, kinda like the bottom of the windowsill.
So yeah, needless to say, I freaking love this picture. I wish I could say more but i just don't know what.

and the couch is like the best aspect of this picture, so many folds and details
yes the ceiling is a little low, but i believe it has already been pointed out.
my only complaint would have to be that the smoke from the joint would diffuse more and wouldnt come out of the tip in a cluster. i would like to see the smoke coming out of his mouth in a puff if he is exhaling in the picture.
i wonder wat fire monkey is doing? o.o does he want to play sonic? is he offering the other guy a piece of pizza?
But i really really really love this concept, no ten year olds over here.
i kinda feel a doujinshi comin along. Pokemon but not from the ten year old run away perspective, but rather a much older mature perspective within the pokeworld. "i ain't goin out in the wild as a ten year old with no education or money.... shoot" "Zuruskin keeps jackin' my money to buy drugs >.> i cant afford food......"

you know this looks fuckin amazing, man. you've got the lighting down so well; even in the flats i was really impressed with how nicely you pulled off the window lighting. i think that the room would look a lot bigger if you just took out the bit of the ceiling showing; you could leave in the grunge lol, just try taking out that corner maybe?
