Because diamonds are brittle. Hardness is the ability to resist scratching; a diamond can only be scratched by another diamond.
Toughness, however, is the ability to resist breaking or chipping; metals do this very well, for instance. But a diamond can easily be shattered with the right amount of blunt force applied at the correct angle; simply put, a diamond could be destroyed with a simple hammer.

Diamond Tiara has suffered a transformation of her character for good very simmilar to some certain characters of Game of Thrones who at the begining of the books you hate but after some events you can come to love them.....as Diamond Tiara.
In fact I expect to see more of Diamond Tiara in the future maybe with her own episodes like the CMC in which we can see more development of her charcacter.
She really deserves it.

Dude,on Brazil none episode of the MLP season 5 was shown on TV yet! On the net,I found only the episodes 1 and 2 with subtitles in Portuguese,and nothing more.

Its about time they gave an explanation for DT's behavior. For the longest time she's been severely one note and flat out irredeemable! I'm glad we finally got down to the core of it all. I'm a little surprised that it was a matter that she never actually understood the meaning behind her cutie mark.

DT "sensed" the meaning of her cutie mark but she didn't understand that she needed to use her ability (of being able to get people to do what she wants) to do good in the world, NOT to do mean or cruel things. Once she started "doing good for others," she finally understood what she was truly meant to do with her life.

Just beautiful... don't know what else to say... I really disliked the character of DT before the latest episode, now I feel sad for her, and this picture that you drew... it really brought on the feels. Hopefully from now on everything will keep on getting better for DT...!
