Description
Link to updated version:Β www.deviantart.com/undyingnephβ¦A map of Hyrule and her neighboring countries that I worked on while other things were rendering. It's a non specific time period during Hyrule: Total War.
If I can get a wall print of this to look nice I might make this a Patron award.

This is wonderful! Could I use it as a map for a homebrew D&D campaign with my buddies?

The scale of Hyrule is not that large. Hyrule is a country, not the name of an entire continent.

No, I mean the whole continent show on this map, as it is clearly more then just the Kingdom of Hyrule, is smaller then France at the current scale.

I was curious, what does "Soseheh Sohg" refer to? Is it the native name of the Keaton Bandit camp under Vigjaro Glade or the Hylian (Goron?) name or Death Mountain?
Also, to clear some nebulous questions about the Ancient Age, were Eldara, Olnach, Malcove, and Molcana originally Ikanian settlements, or were Malcove and Eldara later built by Hyrule or Ordona? And were Natzu and Mothulus Wind Tribe cities like Tarm or built by later cultures (Fairies/Zora/Horonians)

UndyingNephalim In reply to DarkInterloper [2015-06-22 05:10:14 +0000 UTC]
Soseheh Sohg are the Goron words for Death Mountain.
Molcana was an Ikanian settlement, the rest were all built by Ordona Province later on.
Natzu is a Horonian town, Mothulus is a giant swamp hive where creatures of the same name live and breed..

DarkInterloper In reply to UndyingNephalim [2015-06-23 23:48:43 +0000 UTC]
On that topic, we have a pretty good idea as to what most of the settlements are like, even if its just what faction/race owned or built them...there are a few that remain unexplored...
-Moruge and Midoro: are these Gohma hives that went rogue? Daira settlements?
-Tantari: A Zuna settlement? Or Gerudo, if even a settlement at all?
-Sand Crab Cove: Is this actually a Horonian settlement or an animal den like Mothulus?
-Holly: It was in Holodrum in OOS, but is inhabited by Mad Scrubs...another failed Deku Colony?
-Korkuloki: Lizalfos? Doesn't seem to match with the naming pattern of their other settlements.
Are Xulo and Orkalisch actually existing settlement in the Underworld and ROT? Or just there as placeholders?

I mostly meant the road networks that crisscross old Hylian, Zora, Goron, Darknut and Labrynnian territory.

I think your game is so much better than Lord of the Rings, storywise.
Lord of the Rings is clichΓ© everywhere. But it is also one of the first fantasy novels, so that could be the reason.
It wasn't clichΓ© back then. I only think it hasn't aged well.

LOTR seems cliched because it's been copied from so much. As you said, back in the day it was pretty new.
