I mean that all rights are reserved in general, for everybody. Michael Jackson's rights are reserved to him, C.S. Lewis's rights are reserved to him, mine are reserved to me, you get the idea.

You were inspired by The last unicorn - cause i can recall only one famous transform magic with unicorn. Will you make someday comics from beginning till end? I think it would be very popular

I'd definitely need a crew for that! Putting my whole novel in comic form by myself would be a living nightmare.
And while my book is based loosely on "The Last Unicorn" and a few other things, I'm trying my best to make it my own thing. Like I said, there aren't that many "original" stories these days. Almost everything you'll read or watch is based on at least one thing or another. Look at how many books were inspired by "The Lord of the Rings".

But luckily, there are not SO many stories about unicorns like LOTR. So i can understand you, its being hard to be original. I write too, but im in realm techno-magic, so its a bit other genre, but it isnt very original too and its in czech, not english.
And i say, dont worry to use "pop-cultural" stuff, its interesting ( like Terence and Tiger) .
I dont read so much beacuse like you said - there are way much books with LOTR inspiration

Even though my Terence novel is kind of medieval-ish, they speak modern-day English, but with a bit more sophistication; and there are some modern-day references.

Only right now, Photoshop's not quite working the way I want it to. Somehow it got screwed up when my brother shut off the computer while the program was still running.

Oh yeah. My laptop battery doesn't work right and when the power goes out or something I lose everything, but then I turn the computer back on and GIMP is still up, but the picture is like gone. Computers are weird sometimes!
